Hot Tub Safety Guidelines

Please read these guidelines before using the hot tub at your Travel Fox property

Before You Get In

  • Shower first to remove lotions, perfumes and cosmetics
  • No glass near the hot tub — use plastic or provided non-glass drinkware
  • No food, jewellery or electrical devices in or near the hot tub
  • Check the temperature does not exceed 40°C (lower if children will be using it)
  • The hot tub may not be at full temperature on your check-in day if water was replaced between guests

While Using the Hot Tub

  • Keep your head above water at all times — tie long hair back
  • Stay hydrated — avoid alcohol, heavy meals or exercise right before use
  • Do not drink alcohol while in the hot tub
  • Limit sessions to 15–20 minutes to prevent overheating
  • Do not overload beyond the recommended number of people

Children & Supervision

  • Children must be supervised at all times in and around the hot tub
  • Never leave non-swimmers or children unattended
  • Children under 8 are not permitted in the hot tub; those aged 8–17 must be supervised by an adult

Health & Medical

  • Consult a doctor before using if you are pregnant, elderly, or have chronic conditions (heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure issues)
  • Do not use the hot tub within 14 days of diarrhoea or if you have an infectious skin condition
  • Do not use if you are feeling unwell

Looking After the Hot Tub

  • There is a floating device in the water to monitor chemical levels — please do not remove it
  • Keep the lid on when the hot tub is not in use
  • Do not sit on the hot tub cover — it is not designed to hold weight
  • If the water appears discoloured, stop using immediately and contact Travel Fox on 0800 808 5559
