Oban, the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’, provides a stunning base for exploring the West Coast. Nestled between rugged hills and the sparkling Firth of Lorne, you’ll find history and flavour in equal measure. A short stroll brings you to iconic McCaig’s Tower, while the aroma from Oban Distillery hints at local traditions just around the corner.

Just a quick note from me – I highly recommend checking out Dunstaffnage Castle and the Ocean Explorer Centre, both only about a 10-minute drive from High Street Stay! Beyond those, don’t miss exploring Oban itself; we have a really thriving cultural scene with lots to discover right on our doorstep.

Negative: The procedure to obtain the keys could be more streamlined to allow for security for the providers but with ease for the guests. Standing out in an Oban street with the rain coming down is not the ideal situation for rereading access instructions. Also, there were two access boxes at the door jamb - leaving us with uncertainty about which was which!
