Great place!!
5.0/5
Really great accommodation. Me and my friends were all thrilled. Plenty of bedding, plenty of towels and the hot tub is incredible.

Set in a great space, it was the ideal location for us to quickly get into town and also to get to Snowdonia. The hot tub also helped with the recovery!

Really easy check in and check out.

Overall, really happy with the booking.
4.0/5
Nice outdoor areas and the hot tub was a bonus after a day of hiking. Really enjoyed the town which was a walkable distance away (in good weather) and the property is situated in a good location to access Snowdon via car / bus.

Enjoyed our stay, lovely cottage, spacious. Enjoyed lunch in the garden, used the hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed. Easy access, always responded, only 5 minutes drive from the restaurants we wanted. 20 minutes drive from snowdon

Great place to stay
5.0/5
We very much enjoyed staying here. It is located on the edge of the town, next to fields with grazing cows and sheep. A very nice pastoral setting! Hot tub was great, and the accommodation had plenty of space for our family. The host was very responsive, and I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
5.0/5
We had a very relaxing stay. A great place for friends to spend time together and catch up.
4.0/5
The location and the property itself were perfect. The hosts were brilliant, accommodating, and always responded promptly. The hot tub was also a fantastic feature and really added to the experience.

Unfortunately, one issue worth noting was the cleanliness of the property. As we were travelling with our 11-week-old baby, this was a particular concern for us. We found the floors to be very dirty, there were cobwebs in several areas of the property, and the toilets did not appear to have been cleaned properly before our arrival.

That said, I raised these concerns with the host, and they responded appropriately and handled the situation professionally, which I appreciated.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt the property had a lot to offer, but the cleanliness standards could be improved.

Rather not say
Positive: Good value for money, the beds, the hot tub, thought the patio was well laid, utensils in the kitchen etc etc.
Negative: The entrance to the driveway could've been easier, particularly for reversing! Instructions for the outside light near the hot tub.
4.0/5
Lovely private cottage for me and my friends to stay in while we hiked the area. We cooked every night in kitchen and had everything we needed. Lovely communal open plan kitchen diner. Plenty of space for us 6 adults and 2 dogs. Hot tub was nice to relax in and fit all of us (apart from the dogs obviously)
4.0/5
Friendly responsive hosts. The location and area was nice and a walkable distance to the nearest town. Overall the place was worth its value but lacked on cleanliness. Bedding was stained, glasses were dirty and the hot tub was not clean.

If this can be improved then it would be a great place to stay for families.
5.0/5
It was ideal for us as a family with young children. It provided a good base for visiting the local area. It had all the amenities that we needed. The hottub and fire pit were a nice addition.
3.0/5
Great stay for the price. We just had to hoover the sofa bed due to excessive dog hair and staining. A few throw blankets on the beds also had stains/marks. Was easy to find and any questions ahead of our stay were responded to really quickly. Overall, great for a quick 2 night stay.
4.0/5
We had a really nice and a pleasant stay at Katie’s Cottage. It is a beautiful cottage placed in a very quiet and a peaceful area. It is not far to main attractions.
We were a group of friends that visited and it was spacious and it was a perfect gateway house.
There are few things the house can improve on such as the cleanliness. However, the host was very very attentive, and responsive. We raised our concerns and they really cared and took it on board and offered the house to be cleaned again.
Just be aware there are a few house rules which are not listed such as no indoor or outdoor noise after 10pm, and hot tub cannot be used after 10pm also. These rules were sent 2 days before our stay, and no mention of it until then.
The host has been made aware of this and again they were very responsive, respectful and welcoming to all of the comments.
We were kept informed from the day we booked the stay.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we will come back some day.

Great location, flexible on a slightly early check in. Would stay there again !

We had stayed here a couple years ago and when we decided to come back to wales it was a no brainer to book this place again.

Beautiful surroundings and nice private outdoor area. Plenty of space for parking and decent amenities.

We did have a few issues during our stay but the hosts were responsive and helpful.

A great little spot for our young family! Good location and the perfect place to rest our legs in between hiking 🙂
4.0/5
Lovely house and perfect base for our 3 night visit to North Wales. It had the right amount of space for the 9 of us (5 kids and 4 adults). Like other reviews have said, a little tired but didn’t affect our stay. Very responsive when needed. Thanks for having us!

We had a great time at that place! It was a really nice stay! The hot tub was a perfect temperature. The view was amazing, and the place was super cozy. It was also easy to get to and very quiet, right near the city. While it wasn't perfectly spotless, it was pretty clean. There was a little electricity problem that Travel Fox fixed within an hour, and we ran out of toilet paper. Overall, we had a really good time there!
5.0/5
Everything was perfect, nice and clean. Best location as well. The only problem we had that was power cut off.
1.0/5
We had a horrendous stay. Upon entering the property we were overwhelmed with a smell of cannabis. The smell was strongest in the lounge and bedroom next door to it. There were large stains on the armchair and couch. All worktops, tables etc were filthy, sticky/crumbs. the couch was full of crumbs. There was dog hair on the clean beds. The overwhelming smell was not safe for us to stay with our baby. We booked somewhere else after staying the first night. Inadequate partial refund received.
3.0/5
The house is located in a great location. The house is large and the area around it is beautiful. There was enough space in the house for everyone. The hot tub worked and the view from it was incredible.
But it would be good to pay more attention to cleaning.
5.0/5
absolutely brilliant place.
4.0/5
The house was really nice, comfortable and clean with plenty of space for us.

A little disappointed with some of the facilities however. The code they sent for the key was wrong so it took us a while to check in whilst they got back to us. The oven didn’t work which we were only informed about after check in - we had bought food to cook, so this was disappointing

These are slight inconveniences, but apart from that we had a good stay.

A lovely family week
Positive: Very pretty location.. walkable to town in 25 mins. A local shop in 5. Drive to most things you'd want to see within 20-45 mins... Anglesey, Porth madog, Betwys y coed. 3 supermarkets within 6 mins drive. A woodland trail just behind cottage. Beautiful sunsets from garden.

The bedrooms, hot tub and communal areas were lovely. Well equipped kitchen with some complimentary tea/coffee.

Good Comms from host/mgr especially with a slight hiccup on early arrival.

Loved our stay
Negative: We were 5 I'd say the lounge might be tight with 7 guests but very comfortable for us with games nights and film nights. Another sofa or arm chair might be good.

The downstairs loo was a godsend when the main bathroom was busy but the seat could maybe do with an upgrade.

But very minor first world issues. :)

Great, comfortable stay in such a lovely home!

Beautiful cottage set and beautiful surroundings, we had a wonderful weekend. Fantastic host, thank you very much.

We had a wonderful stay at Katie’s cottage and hot tub in Isgoed. The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cosy, and finished to a very high standard. Katie was a great host: friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish.

The surrounding area is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or exploring the Welsh countryside. The amenities were fantastic, especially the hot tub, which was a real highlight and perfect after a day out.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Wales.
4.0/5
Lovely cottage in a great location for new years break. Liked that the room with sofa bed was on same level as one of the bedrooms so we felt ok putting kids in there. Hot tub was lovely on second night (wasn’t at temperature for first night but we were warned it may not be). Creaky floorboards and squeaky beds so might not be good for light sleepers but overall a nice place to stay.
4.0/5
The house and the setup was absolutely amazing, everything was spotless clean, the house was beautiful, lots of space and very private, the hot tub was not really at the right temperature but other than this everything was perfect!
5.0/5
Really nice property and perfect for our stay. We had 9 of us staying and the house had everything we needed! The hosts were really responsive throughout and arranged early check-in for us. We would definitely stay here again.
3.0/5
Was very good could’ve had the electricity paid like so it didn’t go off and could’ve sorted it out quicker but was a good stay

Lovely stay, would recommend

Lovely cottage and location. Great facilities. Let down by poor communication when we needed it the most. Communication great up to this point. We had an issue with central heating, which wasn’t resolved. Cleaning could certainly have been better in areas. An issue that we had has been resolved via the platform.
5.0/5
The host was amazing with us, especially as a group of young people we often get cancellations last minute. This host welcomed us, gave us a lovely place to stay and gave us a great space to celebrate my 23rd birthday! Even better that our neighbours were a field full of cows!!

The host also really nicely warned us that we had left something behind, and waited an hour for us to return to collect. Super helpful, responsive and all round welcoming in every way
3.0/5
Cleanliness is a real issue especially the kitchen and mould in the bathroom.
Overall the location is great and the cottage is private and amenities and attractions easily accessible.
5.0/5
Very comfortable accommodation for 9 (6 adults, 3 children). Quiet and private setting. Would recommend.

Katie's Cottage and Hot Tub is an ideal base for visiting North Wales. Caernarfon is a short walk away, and there are castles, lakes, beaches and mountains within half an hour's drive. As it sits on the edge of town, the cottage has the advantage of amenities close at hand while still being secluded, and is a great place to relax after a day's travels. We would happily stay again.

Great place for a weekend in the mountains, hottub was a dream after a day on the hill.
