The chapel had been beautifully and painstakingly restored whilst the j terror decor is up to a very high standard.

I had a wonderful stay with my bridesmaids before my wedding at Foxtail Barns! The Old Chapel was beautiful and everyone commented on how nice the property was!

It was lovely and clean and Travel Fox were very responsive. They allowed my makeup and hair artists to come in during the morning as well.

Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We had a great stay at the Old Chapel to visit Alton Towers. The place was really clean and plenty of space.

The property was as described and perfect for our needs. Backed on to a field of sheep which the kids loved. Was very well presented, had everything we needed including an equipped utility room. No issues with the WiFi, the phone signal in the area isn’t the best. Check-in and out instructions were clear and sent in a timely manner. Can’t fault our stay.

Beautiful accommodation! Extremely clean and well decorated. Spacious and relaxing with good amenities. Perfect for a friends weekend. Hosts were very kind and helpful, would absolutely recommend staying here. The only slight downside was there being one bathroom for six people, but that’s clearly advertised so just worth considering when you book.

We had a great stay at the Old Chapel for a quiet girls weekend! Venue was absolutely perfect and super clean, right in the middle of everything we needed.
Couldn’t recommend the Travel Fox more as a host. Super attentive and responsive. Will definitely be looking to rebook! Thank you!

Such a beautiful space! The lighting makes it so cozy at nighttime. Only a 20 minutes drive from Alton Towers so easy to have a lie in if you would usually travel a longer distance. Host was great and made everything really clear to us. Feels so private when inside with all the green behind the house. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area for any reason! :)

Great place to stay! We chose this place due to proximity to Alton towers while still having our own space! The house was immaculate and very well presented! The decor was beautiful also. Super clean and tidy with everything you’d need for a few days away! Emails before arrival with check in info etc were spot on and we didn’t need any assistance from the hosts whatsoever as everything was clear upon arrival! Highly recommend.

Great place to say, spacious, clean, all the functions you would need for the stay, the pictures don’t do it enough justice! would definitely stay there again! All I would say is I’d make the damage waver fully refundable if the guest have left it in a clean good condition rather than a mandatory fund hidden in the small print.

Had a fantastic stay at The old Chapel.
The house is beautiful. We wish we had booked to stay for longer.
Everything you could possibly want to relax away with the family. We are a family of 5 and had so much space it was great.
We used it as a place to stay whilst visiting alton towers.

Good communication from the host. The place was great, nice location, and very well furnished. Had all the cutlery and equipment that we needed. Although wifi could be a bit better, aside from that me and my friends had a lovely time.
5.0/5
Deceptively humble exterior reveals a vast and stunning interior space. Everything looked and felt brand new. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. We booked because of the proximity between stoke football ground and Alton Towers. We would definitely book again. Highly recommended.

Excellent place, all looked as described. Clean and good size.

Only downsides for me was close to busy road, WiFi didn’t work as was a Vodafone router sim card and too intermittent if working / kids was hard work.

beautiful place to stay, very clean and tidy only downside was the WiFi wasn't great and the tv stations were very limited but wouldn't stop me from booking again.
5.0/5
Excellent host and a fantastic Airbnb. Check-in was easy and communication was incredibly quick and helpful throughout. The photos really don’t do the place justice, it’s even better in person. There was plenty of space for six people, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We had such an amazing stay and are already planning to return!

Absolutely stunning location and accommodation. Would definitely recommend and would love to book here again. The place was perfect for our family and we loved how beautifully decorated and spacious it was.

What a fantastic place! Such a lovely and spacious place to stay, very comfortable. Would highly recommend. Wonderful view from the kitchen - countryside and the smiling sheep!

There are two local pubs, one is not open for food on Monday's and Tuesdays. However we went to a pub not too far away (11 mins by car) called The Black Lion at Cheddleton - really great place, good food and a great atmosphere!

If a bean to cup coffee machine or similar was added to this lovey place, I would have been in heaven!

Had a great stay here. Pros were beautifully decorated, clean property. We enjoyed seeing the sheep outside the window each morning. Comfy beds and safe quiet neighbourhood. Negatives were dishwasher was blocked upon arrival and the drive was slightly annoying to park on as had to manage manual gates right on a road junction although luckily it seemed fairly quiet road. Overall would love to stay again if in the area.
5.0/5
Such a gorgeous property with beautiful and good quality furniture and fittings. Stunning place to stay, perfect communal area and beautiful quiet bedrooms. The shower was lovely. The driveway was helpful. Just a stunning place to stay.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. We travelled down to Redditch to stay at our regular stay at a Prem Inn. Location there is ideal due to appearing on a live tv show which took place on my 60th birthday on 27th Feb so we decided to make a break after that in this beautiful converted chapel. We arrived late in the rain but the directions were fab. Owner met us, We stayed in all Saturday due to me taking a break since working 24/7.
Wedgwood is only half an hour away and as me and my bestie trained in the arts this is the place. Will also need to contact the owner as this is the most comfiest bed ever x

We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. The place was warm, cosy and very comfortable, which was perfect after long days working away. Everything was clean and well set up, and it felt really welcoming from the moment we arrived. A lovely place to stay and we would happily return.

Negative: There was no phone signal in the property and the internet didn’t work.

Gorgeous place to stay. Lovely location. Rooms were beautifully furnished and it was a nice stay. Would stay again.

Disappointing Stay at The Old Chapel, Stafford

I stayed at The Old Chapel for two nights while visiting family, and unfortunately the experience fell well below expectations. The biggest issue was the lack of hot water. Both the shower and bath only produced lukewarm water at best. I contacted the host, who suggested adjusting the boiler settings, but this didn’t resolve the problem. It was really disappointing not to be able to have a proper hot shower or bath during my stay.

The décor itself is modern, but there were several signs of wear and tear on arrival. The spare room headboard was broken, and the windows throughout the property were not fully clean, which took away from the overall presentation.

Another thing to be aware of is the location. The property sits directly on a junction, and getting the car in and out felt genuinely unsafe due to the traffic and limited visibility.

We loved staying at this accommodation. It was spacious, cosy and felt like a home away from home. The host was very responsive, and communicated well.
The rooms are lovely, we had a peaceful stay with our family. We will definitely visit again!
