Return visit is a must
Positive: Everything. The place was beautiful and clean . Peaceful and fun . The BBQ area was well worth it . Coal supplied and tools . We never got to use the lake as we were preparing to go to a local wedding .
We will definitely be back 5 stars
Negative: I could not fault it at all

Stayed at Seventh Heaven with my daughter when we went to Alton Towers. Fantastic apartment in a beautiful location, which really exceeded our expectations. spotlessly clean and well provisioned - have already recommended to friends
4.0/5
Great place with amazing views.
Went with my family got great photos and sat by the lake and enjoyed some beers.
Good experience overall.
House was exactly like photos.
Very clean and spacious.
Board games and card games were fun.

Only thing I would like to mention is that the hob was turned on when we entered the house with the windows shut and the whole living space was smelling like gas, which is veryyyy unsafe.
That was a bit putting off in the beginning, but otherwise great stay. Enjoyed a lot.
I think it was by mistake.
Please try to be careful next time.

Brilliant holiday cottages to travel with families.
Positive: The property was really spacious and we weren’t expecting so much lovely outdoor space! The whole area is gorgeous with plenty to do. We’re already checking dates to come back again. The host was extremely helpful and clearly really care for their guests. They had everything you need for a brilliant holiday.

Booking the bbq hut with our friends for the first night was a highlight- it’s absolutely perfect! With glorious views. Just maybe take paper plates up.
Negative: There was nothing to dislike

The property surrounding grounds are fantastic with lots to do.
5.0/5
This was truly the perfect escape for us. We came with the kids and they absolutely loved it. The place is beautiful and exceeded our expectations in every way.

The house is cosy, modern, and very comfortable. Every window feels like a picture. From the kitchen you can see the river gently flowing, and from the bedroom there is a lovely lake view.

If you are bringing children, make sure to pack extra socks and welly boots. There is shallow flowing water where they can safely play, and they had so much fun exploring. The swans add such a peaceful touch and make the lake even more special. The swing by the lake was our favourite spot.

There is also a playground with a trampoline, which kept the kids entertained for hours.

The host was fantastic and very accommodating throughout our stay. I honestly wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely come back again.

Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing break away from busy life, with plenty of attractions nearby.

A lovely & relaxing place to stay with the family. The surrounding area is beautiful, with great walks near by.
5.0/5
A Beautiful estate that although close to the main road just 100m away you are in complete seclusion with the sounds and view of the peaks around you. No better place for a good recharge.
5.0/5
This place is beautiful. The lake and the grounds are very picturesque and peaceful. The owner was friendly and told us about the history of the place.

The walks are really good and very close to Alton Towers and 30mins drive from buxton.

if you want to plan a peaceful weekend away then this is the place to be.

We loved the place. I took my kids and my two year old grandson. The place was spotless and had everything you could have needed. We walked along the canal four miles to a local pub which had home made scotch eggs, pork pies and amazingly good beers.

We played games in the courtyard of our homestay farm, we went to see the cows, grease and ducks nd the little one loved every minute of it. My kids swam in the lake nd canoed right in front of our cottage. We went to the local cafe literally next door and had an amazing breakfast on our second day.

They even had a bbq indoor area and games room, with fur rugs everywhere, heating and lighting and it as just so beautiful, quiet and lovely. We had. Fabulous weekend and they really couldn’t have offered anything else to make it perfect.
5.0/5

The cottage was a lovely break for me, my wife a baby to get away from everyday life and decompress. The setting was beautiful with the late and owls that we could hear at night.

We had a wonderful stay here, very peaceful, beautiful swans on the lake, great for taking our puppy for her walks. We felt very at home! Would highly recommend staying here

We’ve had a lovely long weekend at foxtwood cottage. We were a group of 4 adults, one toddler and two dogs and the place was perfect. Open plan kitchen, diner and living room which was closed off from the stairs made it feel really safe for our toddler to run around and explore. The amenities were great, we had everything we needed for the weekend and the games provided were a really nice extra touch which also kept our toddler occupied. The house was so lovely and warm too.

The outdoor space and setting was really lovely. A nice big lake for wild swimming (which we didn’t try but it looked great having seen other people from the wider accommodation using it). There are lots of seating places overlooking the water and some great toys and bikes outside for the kids, including a slide and trampoline.

Would thoroughly recommend a stay and will be booking back for the summer

We had a wonderful stay at Foxtwood Cottages for a couple of nights with the kids and honestly could not fault it. The cottage was spotless, warm and really well set up for families, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for switching off while still being close to lovely walks and things to do nearby. The kids absolutely loved it, which made the break even better for us. Everything felt thoughtfully done and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We would happily stay again and would highly recommend it for a family getaway.
