The only thing this house needs is a 2nd bathroom otherwise it has everything a large group needs.
5.0/5
Really spacious house, great for our group with space to spread out, play games, and eat together.
Hot tub is a nice bonus, and is covered so didn't feel overlooked despite the surrounding houses.
Well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils and cooking equipment.

Great to stay if you are visiting Alton Towers!

After several people pulled out, our group of six stayed here from Friday to Sunday. Before arriving, we were anxious due to repeated messages about noise sensors and the property not being a party house. We also hadn't realised a £200 security deposit was required before receiving the key code (it is in the listing).

Our stay was very quiet: we arrived late Friday, spent Saturday at Alton Towers, and left early Sunday. On Saturday evening, a few of us used the hot tub briefly before 10pm then early bed.

I was surprised to later receive calls from Airbnb about a reported disturbance. After investigating, Airbnb confirmed there had been no violation, but it was stressful, especially while waiting for the deposit to be returned.

The property had positives including the hot tub, pool table, dining space and parking, but also showed some wear and cleanliness issues. The area was particularly noisy too. Overall, the unnecessary investigation overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable stay.
3.0/5
This property works if you need a place to house a large group, but we wary of only one bathroom. It’s within great proximity of (parts of) the Peak District and Alton Towers.

What the listing does not mention is this property is on a main road. The traffic is non stop 24/7. It was very warm when we stayed here and we couldn’t keep the windows open overnight due to the noise.

The amenities were as listed but were very basic. The bedrooms do not have wardrobes, only flimsy rails. No full length mirrors in the bedrooms and no mirror at all in the bathroom.

The outside dustbins were already overflowing and there is only one normal bin and one recycling bin in the whole property.
No bin even in the bathroom. Having to carry dirty floss and sanitary products to the kitchen bin is not ideal.

The property is habitable but unfortunately we found it to be dusty, has peeling paint in all of the bedroom corners, the inside of the microwave had clearly not been cleaned and overall lacking.

lovely roomey home really nice kitchen and bathroom, Plenty of space for 2 cars. about 15 mins from alton towers, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Well presented house, with ample parking. Hot tube was great after lots of walking at Alton towers.

Spacious living room, pool table was fun. Only 1 bathroom does let it down, especially with the hot tub, we were able to make it work however we probably wouldnt have booked if we had paid attention to that detail prior!

For a couple of nights it was manageable.

Addtional towels given we were a large group would have been ideal.

Stayed as a family of 5 adults and 2 children, house was in a good location walking distance to Asda and a lovely chip shop. Hosts were very responsive, check in was easy and clear. Hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrived and was a lovely treat. House had everything we needed for a few nights stay and was clean and comfortable. Perfect location for Alton towers just 15 minutes away so we would defo return to this accommodation.thank you for our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property and felt it was great value for money.

The communal spaces are large and comfortable which make it a great space for socialising and playing games.
The kitchen has an extendable dining table and lots of utensils and plates etc for 8 people. There were a few missing items which would have been useful, such as oven gloves and a spare tea towel.

The host was really responsive when contacted. I made them aware of the extras in the kitchen that would be beneficial and they have provided feedback on this advising it will be reviewed, which is really positive.

Great location for Alton towers home was lovely and spacious the hot tub was an extra bonus especially after being in the rain all day at Alton towers highly recommended
5.0/5
lovely house everything was set out well only thing was we could of used an extra bathroom but that is down to how many of us there was not the accomodation i wiuld highly recommend shops etc near by. Host was spot on woth instructions etc

A great stay close to Alton Towers for a large group! The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and appliances, so we could have a lovely dinner together. Also loved that we could have a game of pool in the evening! Great host with clear instructions, we would definitely recommend!
7.0/10
Positive: I liked the layout of the house, was very good for a large group of people. Close to a shop which was handy! We loved the pool table and hot tub :)
Negative: Wasn’t a big fan of the Asda trolley full of rubbish and around the property was rubbish left outside. The pillows was too big so hard to sleep with.
1.0/5
Very disappointing, had a random trolley full of rubbish in the garden area, bins over flowing with rubbish, the step to the hot tub area was incomplete and dangerous, paint spray on the outside doors, random bits of wood everywhere, dining room table was extremely wobble, ping pong table had no net to use. Paint peeling off the walls. It was just purely not worth the money at all.

We had a great stay with The Travel Fox.

The Airbnb was exactly as described and pictured and we didn’t encounter any issues throughout our stay. The host sent clear updates with check-in and check-out instructions and we knew they were at hand if needed.

The house is around a 20 minute drive from Alton Towers which was ideal as this was the purpose of our stay. There are a few pubs, restaurants and take away spots nearby. The house comfortably slept 12 adults with plenty of space to move around.

I would note that there is only 1 bathroom but we were able to make this work fine.

We were a little apprehensive about the noise detectors prior to arriving as they seemed very strict about this. It is understandable that it is not a party house but with 12 people staying in 1 place, it is expected for there to be a little noise. Luckily we had no issues though and all was well.

I would definitely use The Travel Fox again for any future stays! Thank you.

Had a really nice family stay at the house. We were doing 2 days at Alton Towers with the kids and didnt want to stay in 2 seperate hotel rooms. The location was perfect at only around 10 minutes from the theme park. The house had 4 double bedrooms and plenty of room for us as a family of 6. My kids made use of the pool table daily and we all used the hot tub each evening which was really clean and nice. The whole house was presented well and clean and tidy. We would genuinely go back and stay here again the next time we go to alton towers.
4.0/5
House was clean and had everything we required. Lots of space for my family and the kids to play and only 15 mins to Alton towers. Only downside was the noise from the main road outside but that can’t be helped. Also only one bathroom wasn’t the best but again that can’t be helped. I would say that having a lock on the bathroom door would have been good especially when we had 12 people staying.

Pleasant stay with good access to the Peak District! The pool table and hot tub was good fun too!
5.0/5
Great house in the perfect location for a trip to Alton Towers. Hot tub was a huge bonus and nicely tucked away. Pool table was also very well used by us. House was clean and had all we needed for a short break. House is on a busy road but the noise inside the house was minimal and we all slept well on comfy beds. Also food shops and a Weatherspoons in walking distance! We would definitely return here again next time we visit the area.

Our party of 7 (3 children) stayed here for 2 nights over Easter and used it as a base to visit Alton Towers. Ideally located for this as only about 20 mins drive to/from the resort. 4 good sized double bedrooms and 1 shared bathroom. The lounge is really comfortable with plenty of seating around the good sized TV just to chill after a full day out. The Kitchen is well equipped and easy to manage breakfast and lunch prep for our days out. Good spa outside at the back which was set at 38.5C and up to temp upon our arrival at about 6pm. The heating was on inside too so we had a nice and cosy welcome to our stay. There is an Asda supermarket literally 4 min walk from the property so if you have forgotten something or need something extra, it's dead easy to pick up. The kitchen appliances were easy enough to operate to make a quick pasta dinner on the 1st night and we found a good chinese takeaway that delivered for the second night. The pool table was great fun and got well used.

Great base for visiting Alton Towers. Would def stay again

Very nice Airbnb place to stay. However on arrival there was no heating and hot water. We waited overnight to see if it may of just been used up the day before but it was still not working in the morning and had to take cold showers. There is only one bathroom which is a little strange considering it can house up to 12 people but we managed fine with that. The hot tub jacuzzi was nice but only one jet was working. And the pool table is a great addition however the room is too small to play it in because the table was too close to the walls which meant you couldn’t use the cues without hitting the walls. We were provided with enough bathroom amenities and cutlery. The location is great, near Alton towers and lots of grocery stores and pubs. Overall 3/5 stars

Stayed here with 8 friends in total from Friday - Sunday. Felt extremely anxious pre-arrival due to an abundance of messages threatening that this WAS NOT a party house and that there was noise sensors in the house itself?!! We absolutely didn’t plan on having a party, but became slightly concerned at how much noise would get us kicked out (literally said if you make too much noise it’s immediate kick out, we live 3 hours away!)

Upon arrival at 9pm, we were greeted with 1 toilet roll meaning we had to go to the shops and buy toilet rolls which was an inconvenience. The host did however drop off a bag with amenities in in the morning.. amenities that we obviously left at the house for the next people so wouldn’t really say it was a goodwill gesture?

Only downside was we found an empty pizza box under our bed and empty sweets wrappers in the drawers which was kind of dirty to be honest. Pizza box was left under the bed if you want proof :)
5.0/5
This was the perfect stay for me and my group of 9! There was plenty of space for our one night stay, with lots to do. It felt clean and comfortable. We also appreciated that it was pet friendly as our small dog being able to come with us allowed us to make the trip (and there was a park down the road where she could be walked which was handy), so thank you! The hot tub was also clean and easy to use (just note that it is, while tucked away in the corner, next to the driveway beside the house which means people walking past on the street may see you going from the house to the hot tub, but they won’t necessarily see you inside it!) The driveway is also very spacious, so our cars fit with no issue. There is a small metal fence on the driveway too (you turn in from the main road which can be busy so we parked on a side road, opened the fence, then came back to turn into the driveway!), which helped our cars feel safe.

We had a lovely stay and the place was immaculately clean, roomy with lots to do. The hot tub provided a very relaxing time as well. Travel fox were very helpful and responsive to any issues.
But the property is next to a busy road and unfortunately you hear the traffic which in not travel foxes fault.
But we would stay again as it is worth it.

Great, Thank you

Very well presented and clean, got everything you need hot tub was very warm. Pool table was used every day, would have been nice to play table tennis as it had all the equipment but the ball was missing. 100% would comeback again
4.0/5
The house was a great size for a group of 12 and was very clean. However, the hot tub only reached 32 degrees after being turned on for quite a while therefore, we weren’t really able to use it. The shower was also quite cold when turned on and didn’t warm up for a while.
4.0/5
A lovely group stay with kids. Clean home and responsive host. Hot tub took 1 day to warm up, but as we were staying for a few nights this didn’t bother us.
Very homely, would definitely visit and stay again. 😊

Really nice stay in a lovely clean house. Hot tub was great. Nice touches like having tea and coffee on arrival. We visited waterworld which I recommend also.

Really nice stay recommend

Great place to stay spacious and accommodating close to everything excellent host

They were great hosts very communicative and had one issue on arrival and was rectified within 30 mins, would highly recommend, great house with excellent space
3.0/5
The house was easy to find and matched the description. The surroundings were lovely and we enjoyed exploring the area. One concern was privacy in the backyard: while using the hot tub quietly in the evening (well before the 10 PM limit set by the host), a neighbor lifted the fence nearby, which felt intrusive. Aside from this, our stay was comfortable.
5.0/5
Very clean, responsive host, well equipped. Only minor niggle is that the hot tub wasn't hot on our first day - noted that the description does state that it may not be if there hadn't been guests in previously but a little disappointing when we wanted to hop in after a long day. Far from a deal breaker though and I stand by a 5 star rating overall. Thanks Sam and team.

Great placw to stay, good facilities.
5.0/5
Fabulous stay as a group of 5 adults and 2 toddlers. The house was clean and fully equipped. All the appliances and furniture was like brand new. Beds were so comfy and the fancy bedside tables were a complete hit, especially with the toddlers. Perfect as a base to explore from or just somewhere to go and chill as a bigger group. We will be coming back.
