We had a lovely long weekend stay at Nutmeg Cottage.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We had a lovely, relaxing time and really appreciated all the thought and care that has gone into making Nutmeg Cottage such a welcoming place. Everything was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for both us and our dog.

There were a few minor issues during our stay, but nothing that affected our enjoyment at all. They were dealt with very promptly and effectively, which we really appreciated.

Thank you again for your hospitality. We have made some wonderful memories and would happily recommend your beautiful cottage to others.

Fabulous property with a lovely, homely feel. A great location and the perfect base for heading out and exploring beautiful North Norfolk. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!

We’ve had a wonderful stay at Nutmeg Cottage, which we’ve booked last minute.
A home from home experience and a great base to explore North Norfolk.

Found the £29 charge for getting your key code a bit of an unnecessary charge, over & above what you pay.

Cottage lovely, as described & with everything you could need. Beautifully decorated.

Garden was secure but clearly undergoing work, and next to busy road which did not bother us.

Would stay again, very close to lots to do.

Perfect accommodation for my sister and I. To get to RHS in Sandringham. Very peaceful . They had thought of every thing we could possibly need . The stairs are very narrow but it-didn’t bother us. It was a shame that We didn’t have time to explore the area .

We did enjoy our week in Norfolk but there were several issues with the property.
The host was kind enough to say we could check in a little early and sent us a keycode but it didn’t work. After struggling to get a phone signal, I found a message with a new code. The code didn’t work on checkout and we had to leave the house unlocked.
The kitchen was well equipped & clean as were the bathrooms but the living room smelt ‘doggy’.
The stairs should be flagged in the listing as unsuitable for anyone with any mobility issues.
The garden was littered with dog poo. We gave up after poop-scooping several bags and just didn’t use it. When asked about garden chairs I was told there were none. Found a table & chairs under a tarp in the garden and used those after cleaning them. It was clear that the hosts are not familiar with the property.
The tea room in the village is long closed but is in the listing.
The deposit for check-in felt like a scam.
Wouldn’t use travel fox again.

Positive: Very well kept, clean and modern cottage. Off street parking is a plus and the garden is secure for pets.

Very difficult staircase as the steps are narrow and curved plus you have to duck down to get under a ledge. No good if you have mobility issues.
We also had no choice but to pay a further £29.00 30 minutes prior to being able to check in to get the key pad code. This should have been made clear when booking.
Had to clean the fridge out on arrival and the property was not as clean as hoped.
Good location for exploring north Norfolk.

Lovely house in a beautiful & quiet village. Very clean, nicely decorated & a well equipped kitchen. Great area to explore Norfolk and not too far from the stunning beaches.

We had a lovely stay, the house was great and the garden too. Worked well for our family of 4 (3 and 5 year olds) Lots of thoughtful touches and the hosts were responsive and helpful throughout. Made the most of the weather to visit beaches and also walked locally and played at the park on the lane. Great stay for 5 nights and will hopefully return.

What a lovely cottage!
We had a great few days in Norfolk. We had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and had nice little extras.
The drive to the coast was around 20 minutes but we didn’t mind this. Will definitely return :)

This was our second visit to Nutmeg Cottage and it was just as lovely as our previous stay. A beautiful, comfortable cottage in a wonderful location, so easy to get to many different places.
The owners are obviously working on the garden at the moment and we look forward to returning to see the finished product! Sadly the weather wasn’t good enough to sit out this time but maybe next time!

Absolutely beautiful little cottage that’s incredibly well furnished and kitted out with all the essentials and more!!

Great two days staying here and we will be back! Like home from home!!

Very cosy and they have thought of everything!

Fantastic pub in the village too!

Lovely cottage, ample space and all the facilities you could need. Very nest, clean and tidy throughout. Would recommend without hesitation.

The cottage was beautifully presented and had everything we needed along with thoughtful additional touches.
It had a very well equipped kitchen with essentials included. An enclosed large garden and outside seating area were a great addition too.
We enjoyed walks from the property around the village and to the nearby wooded area (past a small play area catering for young children). A cosy village pub a short walk across the green was very handy. Lovely beaches and towns within 20-30 min drive.
All in all, a great location and a wonderful, cosy home to relax in - wished we had booked to stay for longer and hope to return.

Great place to stay. No problems at all. Would certainly stay here again.

This property was lovely! In good proximity to Holkham Beach and Wells-Next-The-Sea, a decent drive from the cottage.

The local area was very nice with plenty of space to walk with our dog who felt right at home in the space.

We were greeted with snacks and other goodies to help our stay more comfortable.

I would recommend this property 100 times over for people interested in escaping the bustle of city life for a beautiful, quiet and calm staycation by the sea.

The hosts were lovely and so communicative, there was a suggested day by day itinerary which was so helpful navigating the local area.

Such a lovely stay! :)

This is a great cottage, well located, clean, comfortable and with good kitchen facilities. Checking in was difficult as we were told the wrong key code and had to wait an hour or so (dealing with an unhelpful chat bot and a texts from a Serbia servicing centre i.e. no human contact) to get in. This didn’t overshadow our stay but didn’t get it off to a good start in what is a lovely place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nutmeg Cottage. It was a lovely cottage with everything we needed, cozy and warm. The secure garden was great for our dog, and I loved the attention to detail in the cottage, like the night lights, and bed for the dog.
Great location for exploring North Norfolk, would highly recommend.

Positive: Beautiful cottage. Ideal for Peddars Way hikes and near enough to everything else such and places to visit and the coast too. It was well equipped and a home from home.
Negative: Nothing. It was brilliant.

Wow! What a lovely cottage. We spent 2 nights here over new year and we had a wonderful time. Cottage was pristine, the welcome basket was a lovely addition, as were the logs for the fire. We were super cosy & the beds were very comfortable too! Great location, we managed to see Sandringham, walked from Blakeney to Cley, then the following day walked from Holkham to Wells. All in all a very relaxing short break! Thank you!

Nutmeg cottage is a beautiful cottage for a getaway to Norfolk. Immaculately clean, beautiful decor and everything provided for a restful stay. We had a delicious meal at The Crown which is a very short walk away and visited Sandringham for Luminate which is only 15 minutes drive. Thank you for a lovely stay.

After a frantic start to the holiday with the wrong key box code provided and not able to gain access to the cottage, everything else went smoothly. The cottage inside is tastefully decorated and has some lovely quality furnishings fitted, which gave it a feel of luxury. Spotlessly clean and tidy and helpful hints and tips to help you settle in. Loved the wood burner for a cosy evening in with sufficient logs for 3 nights. We did check this out beforehand and directed to nearby Sculthorpe to purchase more. Thankfully this journey wasn’t needed. We were a party of 3 adults and the sitting room seating just about accommodated us comfortably. An additional comfy armchair would have been ideal but appreciate the space is limited. The cottage suited us very well for an autumn break and the unexpected main road traffic noise at the back of the house/garden did not affect us adversely as our time was spent in the cottage when we were not sightseeing. Parking on site was easy and a bonus.

Positive: Beautifully presented and has every up to date facilities you could ask for. The quality of everything in the cottage was exceptional and they really have thought of every thing you could possibly need during your stay which is very impressive.
Negative: Only things for us was the sofas as they were a little small for sharing and we had trouble connecting with wi-fi. It dropped out often.

Lovely little cottage, really well equipped and homely. Lovely pubs on the doorstep for food and only half an hour to great beaches and villages, will definitely return.

Probably the best communication of the many places we’ve ever rented. Clear, straightforward details and reminders, everything was easy to follow.
Directions were great, found the cottage easily and no problems accessing.
The cottage was clean and welcoming. We have never stayed anywhere so comprehensively equipped, it was amazing, a real home from home. There were even some lovely welcome treats, which were much appreciated.
We didn’t spend too much time in the good sized garden, but our dog enjoyed it and it was safe and fully enclosed.
We really enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and the cottage beautifully furnished. We couldn’t have wished for better. Perfectly situated too for exploring Norfolk!

Nutmeg Cottage is as lovely as it looks. We spent 3 nights there, both self-catering and having a meal at the local Crown Inn. We sat out on the patio which is nicely appointed.
We appreciated the "goodies" left for us on arrival as there are no shops in East Rudham. All in all, a lovely stay.

the location was perfect and the property was so clean and cosy!

will definitely be returning next year!!

Lovely 4 night break at Nutmeg cottage with our teenage son and dog. Very nicely decorated and everything was there that we needed. About a 15-20 minute drive out to various norfolk beaches such as Hunstanton, Wells and Brancaster. Blakeney was about 30 minutes for some fun crab fishing. The garden was a good size and fully enclosed. The Crown pub and little coffee shop within a few minutes walk were of a good standard.

We visited the area to attend a concert at Sandringham and it was a perfect location. Great property. beautiful finishing touches, comfy, clean, and wvery attention to detail consider. We would thoroughly recommend this property, and if we needed to stay in the area then we would definitely return if its available.

Beautiful cottage with really nice touches around the whole place to assist you for your stay. Although we didn’t have our dog with us for the night we stayed, the cottage was all prepped if she had been, like beds, bowls and blankets which was really lovely.
We also met the owners who gave us some great advice for our visit to Sandringham. They also left bubbles in the fridge which was a nice surprise and went down well.
Thank you we loved the cottage and would happily stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Nutmeg Cottage, it's beautifully decorated, felt like luxury, it has a large enclosed garden which was super safe for the dog, the boys also loved the football goal.
Great communication from the host.
Super comfy beds, powerful shower, immaculately clean.
It's also really well equipped, with magazines and books on Norfolk, board games, kitchen was amazing, everything you could need and a wine fridge!
Thoughtful details such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, sweeteners, biscuits, olive oil, salt and pepper, cling film, foil, zip lock bags, freezer packs, kitchen roll, wash ups, fairy, dishwasher tablets etc.
The washing machine and tumble dryer were also very useful.
Comfy dog bed and bowls too.
The location is great as it's within easy reach of a number of great beaches and attractions such as Sandringham.
There’s a pub, tearooms and a park (right out of the cottage).
I would have no hesitation recommending this cottage and would love to stay again in the future.

Nutmeg cottage was a superb find for a last minute break away, spotlessly clean with a good size garden for the children and dog to play in and secure off road parking for the car. Location works well for so many of North Norfolks beaches, the village has a great pub and lovely looking coffee shop. We’ve already spoke about booking Nutmeg for another weekend away. During our stay we didn’t need to contact the host but we found them very helpful prior to arrival and in sending through the check out info whilst away.
