Overview

Lee House Cottage sits in a large garden in the lovely Staffordshire Moorlands. With eight bedrooms (13 beds) and five bathrooms in the cottage and annexe there’s space for up to 19 guests.

There are large dining areas both indoors and out plus TV and Wifi, hot tub, table tennis and BBQ!

Lee House Cottage is a fantastic base with great pubs, attractions, walks and cycle trails in the beautiful woodlands of the Churnet Valley. 20 min to the Peak District National Park, 27 min to Alton Towers.

The Space

Lee House Cottage (plus annexe) is in a gorgeous rural setting in the lovely village of Cheddleton in the Staffordshire Moorlands and has one of the few hot tubs in the area – and donkeys! With eight bedrooms (13 beds) and five bathrooms there’s space for up to 19 guests. Wifi throughout and plenty of on-site parking.

Both the main cottage and the annexe have a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with a walk-in shower, a living room and a kitchen. Extensive garden, hens, lovely walks, cycle routes and rock climbing!

Lee House Cottage has charming country style with exposed beams and stonework. Both cosy living rooms have woodburners, comfortable seating, TV and French windows opening on to the garden and there’s a large bookcase.

The main kitchen has an Aga plus electric oven and hob, a breakfast bar and French windows. There’s a dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster and a utility room with a large fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and iron. The dining area with its long table is a great place for everyone to gather – and the woodburners make it a cosy stay all year round!

The Annexe has an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with French windows opening on to the garden.

A high chair and a cot are available.

The ground floor ensuite bathrooms have wet rooms with a rainfall shower. One bathroom has a bath and an overhead shower, two have baths and a hand-held shower.

Both cottage and annexe are wheelchair-accessible. There is a small step at the annexe door (ramp available) but access to the grounds is flat and wheelchair-accessible.

In the large garden there’s a hot tub with Bluetooth speakers, a table tennis table, dining area, boules, croquet, seating and sunshades!

The property has level access inside and out, with one small step for which a ramp is available. Please contact the owner about any specific requirements.

Entry is across land used by a local dairy farm and you may occasionally be required to wait while the cows are moved

Stag parties are not allowed. Hen parties may be arranged on request

Cheddleton is a charming village with the historic Flint Mill and Churnet Valley Railway’s Victorian station, complete with signal box and steam locomotives! There are pubs serving food, a lovely restaurant and the award-winning Old School Tearooms. Beautiful woodland and riverside walks in the Churnet Valley, wildlife haven. Rock climbing on the Roaches, Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks.

Churnet Valley Railway – steam train rides with fun dining options: Bombay Express, Sunday lunch, cream tea plus spa treatments and falcons!

Cheddleton Flint Mill – restored 18th-century watermill right in the village on the River Churnet, where flint was processed for the pottery industry. Explore inside on Mondays and Wednesdays

Set in the countryside around Leek, on the doorstep of the Staffordshire Moorlands, this is steam-railway, wildlife and theme-park territory in equal measure.
