Overall very dissatisfied. We spent a lot of money and were upset to find a basic house which we had to pay an additiona
Positive: First of all the pictures are nothing like the house. It was more like a student house than a nice air bnb
Negative: It was basic , the previous peoples cookware was left in the dish washer, shower leaked
8.0/10
Great location and fan base for exploring.
Positive: Location was amazing. Alton is a gorgeous wee village and a great location for visiting Alton Towers!

Property had everything we needed and the bonus of an enclosed garden which meant our dog could wander in and out without us worrying.

A great sociable kitchen and dining room. And lots of board games to choose from too.

There was a beautiful pub just down the road with a gorgeous beer garden by the river. Lovely walk up to the castle also.
Negative: Could do with a wee refresh and the drainage in both showers is very poor.

Functional, comfortable, good location
Positive: Its location to Alton Towers is ideal amd is literally just a 5 minute drive away.
Beds were comfortable, bedrooms spacious, everything was functional, everything you need (apart from a decent sized frying pan). It was sufficiently clean.
Negative: Couldn’t get parked outside, no where to put your drink down in the lounge (lack of a table), drainage issues (a 1 minute shower and the shower tray was full with water),
Garden is unloved, literally fin to get a bit of fresh air but you wouldn’t want to spend your evening put there. The whole house needs a bit of an update but everything does work.

Great house in perfect location!
Positive: Fantastic, cosy and spacious house in excellent location! Very well equipped!
Beds are very comfortable! Enough towels and toilet rolls! Londis with all food you need just step away from house! Also nice pubs with good food nearby!
Amazing, and very helpful hosts!
I would definitely highly recommend this house to all!
Thank you very much Emma and Sam for your hospitality! You are the best!

Positive: Close to Alton towers , good garden
Negative: Only issue we had was bathroom didn’t drain properly and dripped a tiny bit but soon as we realised we stopped it

Positive: The beds
Negative: Was so dirty couldn’t use the kitchen at all so had to eat out the full time was ants all over kitchen

Very nice property in a great location.
Positive: Location was fab. In the village of Alton next to a little shop and 5 min drive from Alton Towers. Loads of room throughout and very comfortable beds.
Negative: The only think that I feel it needs is a new bath. Not that we needed it as we had showers.
Heading to AT next school holidays but noticed the advertised price was x4 what we paid so we on this occasion we will have to find alternative accommodation which is a shame.

We stayed 2 nights for our visit at Alton towers.
The house was comfy and very close to the park.
We were stessed about parking in the street but actually we had no problem at all with it.
We happily tried one of the board game available in the living room.

A lovely property in close proximity to Alton Towers. A handy convenience store next door and great pubs/restaurants within 1 minute walk. Property was overall very clean, but bath could perhaps do with a refresh. A great stay.

Cute post office
Positive: Everything was covered, if you forgot something, they'd thought of it or it was in the shop next door. Nice and clean and spare bedding stashed everywhere. Nice warm house to walk into.
Negative: No pens in the cludo game..... lol, we're just joking, it is a lovely house. Kids didn't want to leave

Brilliant stay
Positive: Plenty space, great location, near some pubs and close Alton towers
Negative: The garden isn't anything fancy but doesn't bring the place down at all
4.0/5
Very good host who communicated well. The post was slightly misleading with 7 beds as there were not enough beds for people. Overall a good stay

Location great, in need of tlc
Positive: Big property, lots of space. Good location.
Negative: Leak in the unsuite shower room, heating not fully coming on and very cold
In the house on an evening. Tired areas in the house, needs a bit of tlc

I had the best experience staying here. I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. The house was lovely, comfortable, and had everything I needed and more. You can really tell Sam and the team care about making guests feel welcome.

Customer service was absolutely amazing. I had one small issue during my stay, and it was dealt with promptly and far better than I expected. I was honestly so happy and surprised with how quickly and thoughtfully it was resolved.

The location was also really convenient, with plenty of on-street parking available and a local shop right next door, which was a big plus.

Overall, a brilliant stay , I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Positive: Good space
Negative: There a few things which could be much better. Cutlery was needing to be washed, one of the toilets blocked after e 2 flushes, the garden wasn't cleaned.
The shower was leaking to the downstairs floor right in the kitchen area.
Yeah there are a few things needing to be sorted.
7.0/10
Positive: Great value for your money and also location is something you cannot ignore. It's so nice and quiet during the night. The building is located next to the street but there's barely any car during the day and none during the night. Usable space inside for 6 adults, 2 bathrooms and toilet downstairs means no queues to the toilet.
Negative: Nothing in particular really. You can definitely feel that conversation of the post office took place some time ago and if it was me I'd refresh here and there Noisy shower/toilet pump made me jump few times.

Fantastic stay. Host was great, made everything straight forward. Home was warm clean and tidy. Selection of games available which was nice.

Christmas break
Positive: Lovely location in a beautiful village, good size accommodation, well presented, close to local shop for any essentials needed, overall we had a great time just minor things could of helped but great communication with staff, lovely local pubs.
Negative: Some slight detail to things cupboard doors in kitchen broken, wine fridge handle broken, we brought logs thinking we could use log burner but wasn't able to use it, shower hose pipe was full of black scum not very pleasant.

Perfect little getaway spot, ideal for Alton Towers.
Positive: It was just perfect, location, cleanliness, facilities, communication
Negative: Nothing, I could not fault anything.

Lovely and warm, clean and great communication from owner.
Negative: All excellent

Cosy cottage
Positive: Lovely little cosy cottage. Comfy beds. Very convenient for Alton Towers.
Negative: It would really help to have a better selection of saucepans as there was only a very small one and a huge one. Other than that we loved this cottage.

Positive: Excellent location lovely and clean and comfortable easy to check in and check out brilliant stay 😊
Negative: Location is perfect lovely and comfortable accommodation
9.0/10
Positive: Lots of space, good kitchen and outside bit. Being close to pubs and local shop was very handy.
Negative: Parking on the side of the road but it wasn't too bad.

Had an excellent short stay in Alton. Host communicated very well and I am very thankful for all the information provided by them. The house was clean and felt very comfortable to live in despite being with 6 others. Would recommend if you are visiting Alton with a large group of people. Thanks again!

Expensive for what it is
Positive: Closeness to Alton Towers
Negative: It certainly wasn't the cleanest place we've stayed in during our visit to the UK. And whilst there was central heating it wasn't working.

We had a lovely few days away, much nicer than staying in a hotel
Positive: It was nice and cosy, clean and a lovely location

Good base for a short stay,
Positive: It was literally 5 mins drive to Alton Towers where we were planning on going. This house was just a base for that, it had all facilities that we required however no iron but we managed without. Shop next door. Beds were comfortable.
Negative: The plumbing system was very noisy in bathroom and en-suite. Hard to find parking at times out front.
10.0/10
Excellent and would highly recommend
Positive: Size and space. Multiple toilets especially with 4 kids. Plenty of games and stuff in the house for entertainment plus massive tv for movie night which was great. Quiet even though road is quite busy due to being on the one of the main roads away from Alton towers. Amenities steps away from house . Pub down the street.
Negative: Parking but we were pre warned and was luckily able to find space. Was only worried as it was the wife new car I was driving lol
8.0/10
Positive: Close to Alton towers. It was a big house, close to a shop that was open until late. Close to restaurants.
Negative: Even though the kitchen had all the utensils and crockery that was required, all were not clean and most of them felt sticky. The rest of the property felt clean. Care should be taken if you have small kids as the door opens to a busy road.
