Positive: Excellent location, loved the alpacas and Oscar the dog and Excellent staff
5.0/5
Our family had a great 2 night stay. Cozy little cottage with great views outside of the alpaca field and across the valley.
Our children loved the animals on site, play park and plenty of space to run around.

The cottage itself had everything we needed as well as little extras in the kitchen such as coffee, salt/pepper and cooking oil which you often dont get with self catering lettings.

Perfect distance for alton towers. We didn't venture to the local pubs which were recommended, we opted to have food delivered and sit outside so the kids could enjoy the space around.

Would definitely recommend and return again.

Zoe’s cottage was perfect in terms of accommodation and location (Alton Towers theme park just down the road). We all enjoyed meeting the alpacas. Would recommend it.

Mike who showed us around and got us setup was great, lots of friendly families onsite, our children had a great time both in the local area and making friends onsite in the evening, plenty setup to keep them entertained. Would return !

Perfect location for visiting Alton Towers. The holiday home was well equipped & the beds were comfy.

Family had a wonderful 4 night stay whilst visiting Alton Towers. Cottage could do with a little TLC but it had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were very comfortable and good sized living space. Outside area was excellent. Kids loved the playpark and animals. The location was fantastic for Alton Towers. Will definitely book again.

We had a 4 night stay as two adults and two children to do 2 days at Alton Towers. Cottage was lovely and set in a peaceful spot with beautiful views to the rolling fields opposite. A great contrast to hectic and hot days on the rollercoasters at Alton Towers.
Friendly owners onsite, they run the campsite beside the cottages. handful of animals in the fields next the cottage a nice extra for the kids.
Really is just 10 mins drive to Alton Towers car park, supermarkets close by in next town. Decent pubs for eating out are nearby too. Some nice walks close by to drag the kids round on the off day between visits to Alton Towers.

We found the cottage tidy, clean and well equipped for a couple of nights away.

We would consider this accomodation again for a future stay in the area.

Amazing stay! So close to Alton towers yet felt worlds away. The kids loved waking up to the alpacas! Would 100% recommend

We had a great stay. The children loved it & didn't want to leave - stunning views, cute play area, & the alpacas & dog. We loved that it felt like going back to a simpler time - the small TV with simple channels/minimal tech. That said, there was everything to make you comfortable - tea / coffee with milk sachets, dishwasher tabs, foil, clingfilm, fairy lliquid, wifi etc.

All was clean and shower was nice and hot. My youngest kept commenting how cosy it was.

Check in and out was super smooth. The host advised the heating had been playing up so provided 3 plug in heaters. The heating was actually fine without them but lovely to have the extra option of heat in case.

The location was fab - literally 5 mins and a very simple drive to Alton Towers, 3 minutes from local shop.

I accidentally left my son's very special teddy bear behind which I didn't realise till we were home (177 miles away!). I messaged & it was posted to us same day. Above and beyond.

Would definitely return.

We had a lovely time here. The place was exactly as described - right down to the alpacas!

It was clean and tidy, with plenty towels, bedding and extra radiators for heat. The surroundings are well cared for and very peaceful with beautiful views.

The owners are friendly and happy to help if you need them.

Would not hesitate to book again! ❤️

The accommodation is clean and has everything you need. DVD and games in the cupboard. The bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. It's great for kids, there is a play area and we enjoyed seeing the alpacas every day. Lots to see and do in the local area. The host is helpful and very friendly. It was just excellent, I absolutely would recommend.

INCREDIBLE!!! Worth every penny. Host was very friendly and accommodating. The cottage was spotless and had wonderful little extra touches. Tea, coffee and milk to see you through the night. Plenty of towels and pillows. The alpacas were super cute and friendly too. ALL my annoying messages were answered within minutes. One of the best places I have ever stayed. Thank you so much for making my son’s 10th birthday so special.

Beautiful countryside near Alton Towers
Positive: We had a lovely stay, close to Alton Towers and beautiful countryside. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable.
Negative: The only downside was we couldn’t stay longer.

Very friendly people on site and very clear information provided on the run up, great host and would stay again
3.0/5
Starting with the positives, the cottage was in a great location, had animals on site and the farm owners were very nice and welcoming.
There were negatives though, and I have to mention them. Firstly, there were clear issues with cleanliness, including mould in the shower, stains on the sofas, and we even found a drawer of used tissues in our bedside table. Photos of this were sent to the owner. Unfortunately, we did not discover this until the end of our stay when we were checking to see if we had left anything, and can honestly say that had we discovered it sooner, we would have complained and asked for a deep clean or potential cancellation. The appliances are also quite dated. On the one occasion we tried to use the dishwasher, water leaked all over the floor. We did contact the farm owner at the time though and he came out to mop up the water. Overall, the property seemed to lack maintenance, which is a shame as it has so much potential. Not the best experience.

Great place to stay for Alton Towers, super nearby but still private and peaceful, lovely animals + host was very flexible with our arrival time!
4.0/5
The location is lovely with walks available from the cottage. We were given information and a map by the owner.
We were invited to help ourselves to apples from the orchard which was a nice gesture.

Great place to stay for the weekend
Positive: The cottage was clean, tidy and had plenty of facilities for what we needed and was in the ideal spot for Uttoxeter and Alton Towers. Plus being able to watch the alpacas was an added bonus. If you need it there's also a nice field and play area for kids.
Negative: For 6 adults the seating area was a bit of a squeeze and the pillows were a little uncomfortable. The check out time was a little tight in the morning but you can understand why.
5.0/5
Great cottage
Perfect location for a few days break, with two small children.
Very quick drive to Alton towers.
Quick responses to any questions.
Would recommend to friends visiting the area.

Overall a good location just a few touches in doors that could be improved
Positive: The beautiful farm location.
Negative: Not the most baby friendly destinations. Floors and rugs need a deep clean.Utensils and cups need replacing. Lots of high ceilings and beams that need a good dust. Especially for the price of the stay.

We had a wonderful short break in this lovely little cottage that easily ticked all the boxes. The surroundings were fabulous with lots of animals, playpark and walks on site, my daughter was never bored. Great location to visit alton towers which is why we were there. Hosts lovely and very accommodating to our arrival times.
Thank you and we will visit again 😊

What a gem of a place. The alpacas outside our window and a beautiful landscape was absolutely stunning. The couple that looks after this place is lovely and Maggie spent plenty of time talking to us about the animals as my daughter absolutely loved looking at the sheep, guinea pigs and Oscar, the dog.

There’s also a paid for EV charger available on site, which was great! And a small play park which gave my daughter such a sense of independence to wake up and go out to the animals and the park.

The place was great and had everything we needed! Absolutely perfect for its location, close to Alton Towers and nearby hikes.

Wonderful place, beautiful cottage and views

My partner, 6 year old and I were visiting Alton Towers for 2 days. This location was perfect for that being only a 10 min (if that) drive away and it was a really lovely site. Waking up to alpaca's grazing outside your window, seeing all the lovely lambs and sheep and not forgetting the guinea pigs and Oscar the dog. There was a lovely little play area and lots of seating outside to enjoy the fabulous views. The cottage was great, really comfy beds and the bathroom and kitchen were well stocked. Great stay, we'll be back for our next trip.
