Pleasant enough stay.
Positive: The location was good, close to Alton Towers which we were after.
Ample parking
Negative: Bit tired in places.
Sitting room carpet had a few stains.
Extractor fan pull cord coming away in the bathroom.
Wooden floors in bedrooms meant, one up all up.

Enjoyable.
Positive: not applicable
Negative: arrangements for getting the keys, supplying an ironing board but no iron.

Positive: Location
Negative: Keys did not work in rear door, front door was difficult.
House was tired and needed love! Lacked a few essentials. Window blinds needed attention.
No anti slip mat in shower, or house directory.

Lovely home away from home when we want Alton Towers
Positive: It had a home away from home vibe.
Lived in but not gross, it was clean and tidy and equipped with the essentials etc
Negative: Just afew bits in the kitchen could have been better but nothing too major so all good

Perfect stay! The property was exactly as described—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything was in great condition, and the location was perfect. Communication was smooth, and the whole experience was hassle-free. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Airbnb.

Will not stay again
Positive: Not great
Negative: Beds and how the light comes in at 5am

I
Positive: Location is close to Alton Tower
Negative: We stayed here during the heatwave and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

Before our stay, I specifically asked the host whether every bedroom would have a fan, as the weather was expected to be extremely hot. The host confirmed that each room had one. However, when we arrived, only two of the three bedrooms had fans, and there was no fan in the living room either, even though our group of eight had to use the sofa as a sleeping area.

The first night was unbearably hot and we barely slept. The host said they would try to arrange another fan the next day, but we never received any follow-up or additional fan. As a result, we had two very uncomfortable nights with little rest.

There were also several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bedroom door hinges made loud creaking noises every time the doors were opened, and the floors squeaked with almost every step, making it difficult not to disturb others. In addition, both the sofa and some of the beds did not feel very clean.

Overall, the property did not match what had been promised, and the lack of communication and action from the host made the experience even more disappointing.

It was a good stay, comfortable and very warm! The fans in the rooms proved very useful. The cleanliness of the property
Positive: Property was clean, well stocked and had everything we needed
Negative: The property is hard to find. The postcode does not take you to the correct place, our just eat that we ordered was never delivered and we were hungry due to not being able to find the address.
The keys were not in the correct place they were supposed to be, despite us paying an additional £20 non refundable deposit to get the key code which we only found out 1 hour before arriving.
We were left on the doorstep with our children after a long day of travelling until we could gain access by contacting booking.com and using an additional emergency key.
The key was then found to have been moved by cleaning staff which was less than ideal as we were worried anyone could enter the property at any point if they had the missing key.

The home had everything that we needed for a 2 day trip to Alton Towers with 5 kids. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. Nice to have 2 toilets. 2 shops a stones throw from the property. Cool wildlife park a 10 mins walk away. House quite basic but delivered.
Thank you.

Such a comfortable home and it had everything we could wish for. It was clean and fit our party of six very well.

Well we had eventful stay! We had 2 issues but on the whole it was a good stay. The house was as shown. 1st was we were sent the wrong address to the property. In the link they send for the check in code & where you have to pay the extra deposit. There is also a link to get directions. I suggest you double check the address and it is not the one for Cheadle Stoke-on-Trent. I trusted the link they sent and clicked on get directions on Google maps & ended up in a completely different place. At least it was not too far 8 miles (15 mins) away. I think this is why not being local it didn’t click it was wrong. Luckily we looked back in our messages & found a different addresses the correct one.
Then our 2nd issue was the lock on the back door being broken & making it unlockable when the door was shut.
Maintenance did come out to fix the issue which they managed to do with in 3 hours of me reporting it the next day. They did keep me up to date with what was going on & when it was fixed.

The place is very closely located to Alton towers, only thing is the kitchen and living room don’t sit 8 people same time but that was done for us. There was a lot of things to use, the house had everything you would find in a normal one

We have had a fantastic stay this week. The house was spotless. We really benefitted from the car parking available, and also the garden area was a great advantage for the family. The kids loved the welcome pack of goodies. All beds were comfortable, including sofa bed. Great amount of space even for our family of 7. had everything we needed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great house recommended for Alton Towers access.
Positive: Great house for 6 of us. Quiet little place
Great parking with the fenced in area.
Nice big garden
Warm and cosy
Well equipped
Negative: The only complaint was that the agent sent us the wrong postcode so we were frustrated and tired when we arrived. Apart from this it was great.
9.0/10
Positive: Great location, really clean, excellent facilities and comfortable. Great communication
Negative: Garden could of had attention, lots of weeds and overgrown roses ( this is being picky and did not affect our stay)

Cosy, comfortable and great location
Positive: Very close to Alton towers, was clean and had a local shop, pub and take away

Good location for Alton Towers. Easy to find and had parking. Handy for local shop. Family of 7 stayed for 2 nights, enough space for us, but 5 were kids 12 years and under.
Few issues with cleanliness but host responded to message quickly and sent cleaning team to resolve.

Positive: Brilliant place overall!
Negative: Floor boards creek badly upstairs but didn’t take away from the experience.

Great location for Alton Towers. Host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions, would recommend to family and friends and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little time away in a comfy clean home
Positive: Very clean and modern and the fact they went the extra mile by having little things already there like salt tea bags coffee toilet roll etc
Negative: Got given wrong code for key box to get in and then when we left couldn’t get the key box to open again
4.0/5
The place was clean and tidy and as described. We were a party of 6 including a 1 year old. The house is not set up for a baby but it was no problem as we brought what we needed. It was frustrating that the table only seats 4 comfortably and it made mealtimes tricky.
Overall the place was lovely would stay again

It was great for a night- 2 adults and 6 15 yr old boys! Very comfortable, boys all slept well. Good kitchen area
Positive: Clean and beds were very comfy.
Negative: No bottle opener.

Positive: We liked the location, it was quiet, a shop directly opposite, parking was great, the enclosed garden was very handy. The house was warm, our bed was comfy, the lounge area was good.
Negative: There are a few simple things that if sorted out would have improved our score. The keysafe code we were given didn't work, I had to call customer service to get the correct code. The garden has several old dumped heaters in it, the cigarette bin in the garden was full. Once in the house, its pleasant, however, the lounge carpet is in need of replacing, there are many visible stains, the kitchen is tired, the oven controls are worn out, a few of the mugs were chipped and not usable, there is a broken blind in the kitchen facing the garden, upstairs there is no blind in the bathroom, not great if its dark outside and you have the light on, the window faces a street and the shower wash containers were almost empty.

We stayed here for 2 nights around a trip to Alton towers and it was the perfect base. Really well located for travelling into the park itself, and enough local amenities that I've could pop out for forgotten supplies in the evening etc.

The house itself was great - a real bonus to have a sofa bed in the lounge, which suited the make up of our party well, and the kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms very clean etc.

We'll certainly look to rebook for our next trip to Alton towers :)

We had a great stay at Ann’s House. It is a sweet house, in a good location. It was perfect for visiting Alton Towers as it is only a short drive. Sam is a great host and replied very quickly. We had a lovely stay, thank you for having us.

Great property! Me and some friends stayed for two nights while on a trip to Alton Towers - was a great location about 15 minutes drive from the park, with a Spar and pub nearby.

The house was lovely, heating was very good, and immaculately clean. Was generally perfect and very affordable!

Positive: Perfect location for Alton towers. 8 adults but plenty of room for us all. All the beds were very comfortable even the sofa bed. Clean thoughout and active hosts with clear instructions on how to get in.
Negative: We were asked to clean our dishes which was no problem however there were no sponges or dishcloths provided to do so. We had to go to the shop across the road to buy ourselves so would of been nice to have had cleaning stuff for us to use. The mugs were all chipped and dishes grubby from the users before which is not surprising as there were no washing up equipment.

Peaceful and relaxing
Positive: The beds were comfy and plenty of space in a quiet area.

8.0/10
Positive: Decent house, sufficient cutlery, however partially not clean
1.0/10
The property was dirty, smelly, lacked privacy, and left our clothes reeking from foul odour
Positive: adequate parking
Negative: Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. Privacy was non-existent due to the lack of closing blinds or curtains. The kitchen was filthy, with the oven in particular being absolutely vile and clearly not cleaned in a very long time. The carpet in the main lounge was a major let-down and almost certainly the source of the strong, unpleasant smell that permeated the property.

The odour was so potent that I had to air out my clothes before I could get dressed. Overall, the property felt unhygienic, poorly maintained, and completely unacceptable for paying guests.

excellent stay, clean, homely and great comms.

Positive: Very helpful and quick at responding . Excellent location with shop right on your door step for essentials. Anne also left out some biscuits and crisps as a welcome gift, which I thought was very nice and different to other Airbnb properties I have stayed at.
Negative: There was nothing we didn’t like. Everything for perfect and the house as exceptionally clean and spacious .
