We stayed because of the vicinity to Alton towers as a trip away with the kids. The house was clean and had all amenities we required and was 15 minutes from the park. We stayed on Sunday night which meant there wasn’t really anywhere to get food we eventually found a take away that would deliver as I didn’t fancy driving again after the 4 hour journey! There was a small shop that was handy for drinks and snacks but supermarkets were a drive away. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

We stayed here as we were going to Alton Towers for a few days, were a family of 5. Super easy to get there from here & we parked on the street right outside the house as we were only there during uncontrolled parking hours. Communication with host was excellent, we decided to go up one night early and they were so helpful with that, we were also able to arrive really late and get into the house without difficulty. There are bunk beds in one of the bedrooms, 2 singles in another, and a double in the main. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. There a few things that are a little tired, but at this price and this close to where we were going that seemed ok. We’d probably stay here again if we were heading to the parks again, and would happily use houses supported by this team again as they were so helpful.

Great place to stay. Incredibly helpful hosts with clear instructions and always able to help, 10/10 would recommend

It was a nice house
Positive: It was a great location and
Negative: Didn’t like when we pulled up to park at the back of the property and two rubbish bins were overflowing with rubbish! Very bad first impressions. The main bed was very uncomfortable and would badly need a fan too

Great stay! Really close to Alton Towers

The property is very well situated for the local pub, a couple of supermarkets and a chip shop. Not far from Uttoxeter. Easy check in and comfortable beds. Oven is a bit slow at cooking and ordering food for delivery was limited. The pictures show two single beds in the 3rd bedroom, but the description says bunkbeds. When I queried this, I was told there was a single bed AND bunk beds - this is not true. There is a set of bunk beds only. The house had a smell of stale curry upon arrival which DID diminish throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the bins outside were overflowing and we had to make trips to find places for recycling. The shower has dual heads, but the water didn't go cool and only stays warm which wasn't useful in the warmer weather. There is also a bath tap sticking out half way up the bath which caused a few bumps and bruises. The side light and clock also weren't working. The kitchen is quite large but feels cramped with the large table. Over all, the stay was acceptable.

Over all good stay, but outside chairs in the garden was not clean.. The parking area was taken by someone

This property was perfect for our family get away. we are a family of 5 and there was more than enough room for us all. The house was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The host was always available to contact if needed but everything was straight forward. The bedding and all materials were nice and clean and fresh.

Close to Alton Towers, responsive, friendly host who sorted an issue quickly and professionally

Pub, shop and good take away within walking distance. BBQ was a nice touch and accommodation looked like pictures. Would recommend and stay again

Perfect for a family trip to Alton Towers. Functional and clean. Perfect for what we needed.
4.0/5
Lovely little house, in a great spot, ideal for our visit to Alton Towers, only small but plenty big enough for two adults and three teenagers to manage. Lovely quiet area, the chip-shop is absolutely amazing and great to have a shop close by too. Could do with modernising a bit, the windows particularly but a well kept place.
5.0/5
We stayed two nights to be near Alton towers for the weekend and it was a very close drive. There is a store just around the corner that had everything we needed for breakfast and whatever we had forgotten to pack.
9.0/10
Positive: Close to location. Very clean and practical
Negative: Rug living room was slippy. Should have a grab rail in the bath as bath was slipply as no bath matt.

when we arrived in order to get the code for the door we had to call a phone number. It was answered by a non human, It asked for the last four numbers of my phone which I gave and then asked again for it several times.
I was directed to a web site which I logged on to and before it gave me the door code I was required to pay an extra 34 pounds non refundable deposit against damage to the house.
The non refundable deposit was not mentioned when I booked on the airbnb website.
This is a rip off.
There was very poor internet in the area and I had to ask in the local chip shop for a connection to my phone so I could access the website.

We stayed here overnight to get ahead of the queues at Alton towers which is a 10 minute drive away. The house is as pictured, very clean and well located with shops, a pub and a chippy all on the doorstep.
Parking space to the rear was easy to find and very handy. Host was communicative and access was easy / flexible with a programmed key pad access.

Ideal place to stay for a trip to Alton towers. We
Stayed 2 nights. On arrival the place smelt smoky and the floor boards are really creeky. Walls are paper thin too. If we were staying for a week I’d be disappointed but for 2 nights for the trip we needed it was fine. The kitchen was big and well equipped. The beds were ok. The shower was good. On our first night we were able to park in the allocated parking space, on the second night it was obstructed by Another car so we had to park in a nearby road. Also not a huge problem but not as expected. All in all It was fine for what we needed but we would not want to stay any longer.
5.0/5
Was a great stay we used it to stay in while we had some work up that way we would of stayed longer if the dates were available
5.0/5
I had a great stay here with my two teenagers. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and in a really handy location - about 10 minutes from Alton Towers. There’s a Spar and pubs nearby, and parking round the back was easy, just a 1-min walk to the front door. Would definitely stay again.

The house was perfect for what we wanted which was a quick stop over before a day at Alton Towers. Highly recommended.

We booked initially for two nights for a family weekend away but were so impressed with the property and the area that we decided to stay another night. With being already extremely satisfied with the accommodation we messaged the host and Air B&B to ask if we could book another night. They were so responsive and helpful and the continuity of service was second to none. I would highly recommend this property as it was clean comfortable well heated and ventilated in equal measure. Easily accessed, spacious lovely little garden to the rear and we would definitely recommend booking again

Nice and tidy, exactly as described, thankyou 😊
6.0/10
Positive: Clean and location great.
Negative: There were not enough forks - 3 for 7 people!, we had to hunt for bedding for the sofa bed. There were no little lamps or anything in the bedrooms.
5.0/5
Lovely house - really good communication made the stay easy
5.0/5
Lovely place. Had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 7 people and very clean. We weren’t in much but while we were everyone slept well and it was excellent for a trip to Alton Towers. Parking also a bonus.

Nice place for a family or two for easy access to Alton towers
5.0/5
Great location within 10 miles of Alton towers, the house was prefect for our needs as a family. This was our maiden Airbnb stay, as we're used to staying in hotels. It was a much better feel to be in a home together as a family as opposed to being in a hotel.
Travel fox were very helpful, and replied to queries almost instantly every time.
Plenty around the property in terms of shops, takeaways and a pub.
The pub was a bit busy and loud for us to eat, so we opted for the takeaway instead, which catered for everybody and was absolutely spot on 👌
Thanks to Travel fox for accepting us as newbies with no reviews, and thanks for the stay. We all had a great time.
