Lovely property with excellent facilities and perfect for Alton Towers
Positive: Spacious rooms and extremely clean.
Negative: Small living room for 6 people

Clean, Nice & comfortable.
Positive: Very close to town centre, local amenities and supermarket.
Negative: Only toilet/shower downstairs.
Some pic(s) a little outdated - living room.

Positive: Close to Alton towers
Negative: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay. The cottage was unbearably hot with very little ventilation – one window was taped shut, another was locked with no key, and the loft bedroom had no blind or curtain. We contacted the owners during our stay, but nothing was resolved. We were also concerned about the lack of ventilation and fire safety. There were not enough towels, cutlery or seating for the number of guests, and parts of the property didn’t match the listing. The location is great for Alton Towers, but overall we expected much better.

Polecam, bardzo blisko atlon towers resort
Positive: Tak, aczkolwiek śniadania i kolacje robiliśmy w swoim zakresie.

Great value, a few issues but the hosts were extremely responsive.
Positive: Great value and good location for our needs. The hosts were very responsive when we alerted them of a couple of issues.
Negative: The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable at all, and we weren’t able to open the downstairs window which would have helped to cool the house down in this heatwave.

Positive: Location
Negative: Lack of fans & no garden furniture

The Airbnb was suitable for what we needed over the weekend. We would come back.

Only thing is that you need to pay a security deposit.

The house was fine. Good value for money etc. A sour taste has been left in my mouth, due to having to pay additional fees to get the lock box code from them. This just seems sneaky and did not make the accom feel as welcoming.

Positive: Exactly what we wanted and was perfect fpr alton towets.
Negative: Mattresses were a bit uncomfy but that is nit picking for what we wanted within cost
10.0/10
A nice compact place with good bed provision suitable for an overnight stay, very close to the town centre
Positive: Short walk to the town centre which had lots of small bars and places to eat.
Ample sized rooms. Two doubles and a twin. Spacious. Sofa beds were two-seats wide. So good for small kids only.
Parked right outside the property on yellow line (6pm-8am restriction)
Nice looking place.
Good shower
15 mins from Alton Towers!
Negative: We didn’t use the dining table, but it is undersized if you were planning a meal for all available bed spaces. Similar for size of lounge area.
Otherwise nothing much not to like!

I would stay again. Great location and very homely
Positive: It was lovely. Home comforts. Like a home from home
Negative: The front window was not secure, so it made the room really cold. And it took me a while to figure out the heating as I didn't realise that it flipped up.

Not a great experience
Positive: The area was lovely
Negative: The fact that there was no Internet so unable to watch tv and kids couldn't connect there ipads in the evening the heating worked but the windows let the cold in the house was freezing it was like sleeping in an ice box however after complaining they did send someone out to bring 1 electric heater to heat the whole house and they put masking tape around the window

Negative: Sofa bed

The property was clean and the shower pressure was good, but overall the comfort and finish were well below what we expected from the listing photos. The place felt cold and some furnishings and fittings need attention. We chose to leave early. Hopefully some improvements can be made.
3.0/5
Dirty, needs maintenance and tidying up. The back garden was an eye sore, a broken chair left, overflowing bins and cigarettes everywhere, as well as an overflowing cigarette bin on the wall… Not safe or pleasant for our dogs. The price was discounted due to a late booking which worked out a fair price for what it was but i would’ve been extremely disappointed if i had paid full price (almost double what we paid). Location was convenient with pubs and shops nearby, parking is opposite on the road, bit of an iffy area but it was fine in the end.
Hard uncomfortable sofas, no wine opener? We had to go buy one and not even milk or oil left so we struggled and had to go back out!
Communication was over the top, i’m talking perhaps 10 emails between booking and checkin (5 days) but communication on check in was simple and clear.
Wouldn’t stay again based off our experience!

We had a fab stay in a gorgeous house.
Positive: How big the house was and the facilities with in it.
How close it was to the town center
Negative: The seating in the living room was very uncomfortable but do take into consideration it is a sofa bed. It was a little too low and hard for older parents.
2.0/5
A lot of minor issues and the boiler and fireplace need proper maintenance. Shower is great though and the host was helpful when we had issues
5.0/5
Plenty of shops just a quick walk away and my dog enjoyed his stay .

Positive: Quaint bit of character, lots takeaways and asda within short walking distance.
Negative: Difficult for parking and kettle wasn't working but used hob to boil in pot and accommodation served purpose for bed for the night for visiting alton towers.
7.0/10
Ok for what we needed it for but wouldn’t want to spend a full holiday there!
Positive: Good central location but no parking at the actual property, just on streets nearby.
Lovely and clean!
Negative: The bathroom is downstairs so it was a bit tricky for my elderly mother in law to come down for the toilet in the night.
The sofas are not very comfortable to sit on.
Couldn’t seem to find normal live tv.
5.0/10
Location was good, property was very small and cramped. Bedrooms were good.
Positive: Location
Negative: Single downstairs toilet and shower room. No parking. Uncomfortable settees, very basic accommodation.

It was a very nice place, clean and staff kept us informed all the times and there was no problems we would recommend it
Positive: It was not too far from where we were going and the staff were excellent and kept us well informed, it was clean and just perfect for our stay. Plenty shops and restaurants close by
Negative: It was all very nice we have no complaints about the property and our stay
8.0/10
Quaint cottage, excellent location.
Positive: Close to the racecourse where our event was being held. Very clean and well stocked with everything.
Great shower!
Negative: Parking was a bit of an issue as we had 4 cars between the 8 of us, but we found room a few streets away.
Very steep stairs up to the "attic" room.

Having moved from Spain to the UK we needed somewhere pet friendly to stay for 10 nights. This was a fantastic location, all essentials provided & the maintenance man was beyond helpful when we needed somewhere pet friendly help. Perfect communication at all times. Highly recommended. Thank you x
5.0/10
Convenient location but the house was tired and not particularly clean.
Positive: Great location
Negative: I found the house to be in a tatty start floorboards were a trip hazard.
Kitchen had a stall smell and the kitchen could have been cleaner. Food on cupboards and dirty plates.
Bathroom needs a good deep clean as there was brown grin around the edges, attention to detail.
Beds were ok but mattress protectors weren’t clean. They had stains not what I would expect.
4.0/5
The house was great and was fine for what we needed. 20 min drive to Alton Towers which is why we were there. Bedrooms were a nice size. Owners communicated really well.
5.0/5
We only stayed one night - 3 adults, 2 teens, mixing a business meeting in the area with next day fun at Alton Towers.
Nice character property, very clean and tidy. I was easy to find and access, the host sends comprehensive instructions anyway. Located 5 minutes walking from what I believe is the town centre, so easy access to local pubs and places to eat.
Good internet, no issues with heating if needed. The top bedroom is lovely.
I can't comment on anything else due to our brief stay. Didn't use the kitchen facilities.
8.0/10
short walk from everything you need in local town, quiet village, cozy house.
Positive: short walk from everything you need in local town, quiet village, cozy house which had everything you’d need.
Negative: sofas were a bit hard and uncomfortable, few bits of flooring coming up in the kitchen which was a bit of a trip hazard for my toddler.

Great deal and perfect for what we needed - visiting the Uttoxeter races!
5.0/5
ideal location great facilities
7.0/10
Positive: Great location. House clean and tidy.
Negative: Could have done with more pots for cooking and some oven trays as it was difficult to make a meal for the family. Otherwise everything was fine.
7.0/10
Great location and excellent sleeping options for our large family. Very clean.
Positive: Location was great. Close to town and local facilities and close to Alton Towers.
Negative: No bins in the bedrooms. Parking was an issue but only because they were resurfacing the roads whilst we were there. No washing up brush or cloth.
4.0/5
The accomodation worked for us and, despite criticisms in other reviews, was clean.

It is a little basic though and if we were staying more than a night or two, rather too basic.

So fine for a short stay but if you are using all of the beds anything longer will become uncomfortable.
